Obituary of HULL, RACHEL CAROLINE JENKINS 1903 Oconee, SC Keowee Courier, July 1, 1903 Mrs. Rachel Caroline Hull the devoted wife of Daniel S. Hull, died at their home, near Westminster, last Friday morning, after an illness of ten days, in the 68th year of her age. She was a most estimable lady and her kindness and hospitality knew no bounds. Mrs. Hull was a member of the Presbyterian church and lived daily the religion she professed. She attended divine services with such a degree of regularity that her pastor always knew that some one was sick when he noted her absence. Mrs. Hull was Mrs. Jenkins before her marriage and her step-father was the late Rhodum Doyle, well known to the older citizens of the county. Her step-sons are Wilburn N. and James M. Hull, of Westminster. Mr. and Mrs. Hull had been married for 42 years and had lived at the place where she died a great many years. She leaves one sister, Mrs. Mary Biggerstaff, who resides on Cane Creek, a few miles north of Seneca. After appropriate funeral services, conducted in the Presbyterian church by the Rev. J. C. Shive, on Saturday morning at 11 o'clock, her body was interred in the town cemetery, near the grave of her mother, Mrs. Phaeba Doyle, who preceded her to the "better land" fifteen years ago. The aged husband and sorrowing relatives have the sympathy of many friends in their bereavement. ************************************************************************ Copyright.
