Obituary of HULL, DANIEL SIMPSON 1914 Oconee, SC Keowee Courier, December 30, 1914 Daniel S. Hull died at his home Thursday afternoon at 4 o'clock. Mr. Hull was in his 87th year, having been born in Hall county, Georgia, in September, 1828. The greater part of his life, however, was spent in South Carolina. He was an old Confederate soldier, being a member of Company F, of the illustrious Orr's Regiment, in which he did valiant service. Mr. Hull was a consistent member of the Presbyterian church, and for a number of years was a Ruling Elder. One sister, Mrs. G. W. Eaton, of Walhalla, and two sons, W. M. and J. M. Hull, and his widow, with a number of grandchildren, survive him. Mr. Hull was aware of his approaching end, and on Thursday (Christmas Eve) expressed a desire to be buried on Friday, Christmas day, but owing to the extremely inclement weather the funeral and interment was postponed until Saturday. ************************************************************************ Copyright.
