Obituary of GRANT, VERA DILLS  1994 Oconee County, SC

    Walhalla-Vera Dills Grant 65, of 643 West Bear Swamp Road, died Wednesday, 
November 30, 1994
at her home.  Born in Town County, Ga., she had lived in Oconee County for the 
last 35 years. She was a homemaker, and a member of the First Baptist Church of 
Walhalla and the Senior Ladies Adult Sunday School Class.  She was the wife of 
Christopher "Chris" Lawrence Grant and a daughter of the late Garner Dills and 
Cleo Ledford Dills Nations.  Surviving in addition to her husband are a son, 
Kenny Kirby of Westminster, brothers, Frank Dills of Hiawassee, Ga., John 
Nations of Atlanta and Jack Nations of Cleveland, Tenn.; sisters, Lou Jean 
Taylor of Hiawassee, Ga., Margaret Dockery of Murphy, N.C., Margie Elrod and 
Barbara Cantrell of Helen, Ga. and May Dills of Toccoa, Ga.; and two grandsons. 
Graveside services were at 1 p.m. Friday at the Oconee Memorial Park Mausoleum, 
conducted by the Revs. Jim Mizell, Jimmy Boggs, John McKnight and Charles 
Maney.  The Sandifer Funeral Home, Westminster, was in charge of arrangements.  
Memorials may be made to the First Baptist Church Building Fund, 403E. Main St. 
Walhalla. SC 29691.
