Obituary of ELLIOTT, THODE ELAINE ABBOTT  1987 Oconee County, SC

   Walhalla--Mrs. Thode Abbott Elliott, 78, of 205 North Church St., wife of 
Guy Elliott, died December 2, 1987, in a Rome, GA., hospital. Born in Oconee 
County, she was the daughter of the late Jacob Davis and Lula Blanchett Abbott. 
She was a retired teacher at Walhalla Elementary School, a member of the United 
Daughters of the Confederacy, St. Luke United Methodist Church and the Ladies 
Auxiliary.  Surviving are her widower; a son, Richard Elliott of Cartersville, 
Ga.; a daughter, Mrs. Martha E. Litesey of Cedartown, Ga.; sisters, Mrs. Grace 
Squire of Cemerion, Calif., Miss Lena Abbott of Walhalla and Mrs. Florine 
Jaynes of Morganton, NC; five grandchildren and one great-grandchild.  Services 
were at 2 p. m. Friday at the Davenport Funeral Home chapel conducted by the 
Revs. L. O. Foxworth and Gary Byrd.  Burial was in the Oconee Memorial Park.
