DYAR, CLARA OSTEEN ABBOTT Keowee Courier Mrs. Clara Dyar Rites Monday Mrs. Clara Osteen Dyar, 67, died Saturday night at her home near Seneca on Clemson highway, after an illness of several months. She was the daughter of the late J. J. and Eliz Mauldin Abbott and had spent her entire life in this area. She was the wife of the late H. M. Dyar and was a member of Lydia Baptist church in Newry. Survivors include four brothers, J. D. and W. W. Abbott, Seneca, J. Lee Abbott, Spartanburg, and George M. Abbott of Cullman, Ala.; two sisters, Mrs. Ernest C. Dietz, Jacksonville, Fla., and Mrs. Alex Mauldin, Seneca. Funeral services were held from the chapel of Brown Funeral Home Monday with the Rev. Ralph Sassard and the Rev. W. W. Leslie officiating. Burial was in Mt. View Cemetery. Pallbearers: Floyd Owens, Fred Pelfrey, Claude Hughes, Dennis Frazier, John Ross Mauldin and Harold Abbott. The honorary escort will be composed of Roy D. Harden, Joe Hughes, Dr. R. K. Nimmons, Dr. F. B. Adams, Lander Hamby, George and Charlie Hunnicutt, Neal Land, and the Rev.
