   WALHALLA - Jack David Cox, 80, of Newport News, Va., husband of Edna Barrett 
Cox, died Thursday.  Born in Oconee County, he was a son of the late Jessie J. 
and Bertha Thompson Cox. He was a veteran of World War II.  Surviving are his 
widow, of the home; a daughter, Miss Regina Cox Of Newport News; and brothers, 
Knight Cox of Walhalla and Jim Cox of Seneca.  Services were at 2 p.m. Saturday 
at Davenport Funeral Home Chapel conducted by the Rev. Thornton Hall. Burial 
was in Flat Shoals Baptist Church cemetery.
