"GENE"CRANE
   WALHALLA - Earl Eugene "Gene" Crane, 46, of Route 3, Neville Community, 
husband of Elizabeth Smith Crane, died Tuesday, February 7, 1989 at his home.  
Born in Walhalla, he was a son of Mrs. Edna Anderson Crane of West Union and 
the late Romaine Crane. He was a carpenter and homebuilder, and a member of 
Rocky Knoll Baptist Church.  Surviving are his mother; his widow; sons, Greg 
and Stephen Crane, both of the home; and a brother, Devin Crane of Walhalla.  
Graveside services were at 2 p.m.. Friday at Evergreen Memorial Gardens 
conducted by Dr. James A. Kirkpatrick.  Davenport Funeral Home was in charge of 
arrangements.
