CONLEY, HENRY G. Keowee Courier, February 6. 1907 News reached Walhalla this morning of the death of Henry G. Conley, of Whetstone, this county, which occurred at his home there late yesterday. He had been in bad health for several years, suffering from consumption, but few thought the end was so near at hand. Mr. Conley was about 46 years of age and was an excellent man, upright and honest in all his dealings. He was twice married, his first wife having been a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Crisp, of Walhalla. She died several years ago. His second wife was Miss Alice Fretwell, a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. K. B. Fretwell, of Whetstone, who survives him. His remains will be laid to rest at Double Springs this afternoon, services to be conducted by Rev. J. C. Yongue, of the Methodist church. In the death of H. G. Conley Oconee has lost a valuable citizen. To the bereaved family is extended the sincere sympathy of many friends. ************************************************************************ Copyright.
