Ambrose Crane Dies Suddenly
   Funeral services for Ambrose Crane, 54, who died suddenly Tuesday afternoon, 
were held from Wolf Stake Baptist church Thursday.   The Rev. Paul Haves in 
association with the Rev. Ernest Roach conducted the services. Burial followed 
in the adjoining cemetery.  Members of the Lewis E. Blanchett Post of the 
American Legion served as pallbearers: Mart Harden, J. B. Todd, Joe T. Rogers, 
Fred Rowland, Mason DuPre, and Dick Bieman.  He leaves four sons, Cole, 
Tillman. Paul and Romaine Crane of Walhalla; one daughter, Mrs. Flora 
Galbreath, Walhalla; 13 grandchildren; two brothers, Ben of Sylva, N. C., and 
Romaine Crane, of Anderson; three sisters, Mrs. Effie Willis, Mrs. Sylvester 
Marchburn and Mrs. Herbert Price all of Anderson.  Davenport Funeral Home was 
in charge.
