Obituary of BURNS, PRICE ANDERSON 1954 Oconee County, SC Keowee Courier, November 10, 1954 Friendship Man Dies Wednesday Price Anderson Burns, 80, of the Friendship community, died at the Oconee Memorial hospital Wednesday morning following a serious illness of one week. Mr. Burns was a native of Oconee county, a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. William Burns. He was of the Baptist faith. Survivors include his widow. Mrs. Jane King Burns; five daughters, Mrs. Cora White, Mrs. Gertrude Banks, Mrs, Gussie Sears, all of Atlanta, Ga.; Mrs. Lucille McDair, of Virginia, and Mrs. Victor Argo, of Seneca; four sons, Homer Burns of the Oakway community, Roy and Albert Burns of Atlanta, Ga., and David Burns, of Hazelhurst, Ga.; one brother, Henry Burns, of Cross Hill: several grandchildren and great grandchildren. Funeral services were held from the Oakway Wesleyan Methodist church Thursday. The Rev. J. D. Evatt and the Rev. Paul Duncan officiated. Burial followed in the church cemetery.
