Obituary of BALLENGER, REV. LUTHER C. 1986 Oconee County, SC

   WESTMINSTER The Rev. Luther C. Ballenger, 82, of Route 5, husband of Irene 
Davis Ballenger, died Thursday at Easley Baptist Hospital.  Born in Oconee 
County, he was a son of the late J.E. and Anna Agnes Dickson Ballenger. He was 
a retired Baptist minister having pastored at Calvary Baptist Church, Waycross, 
Ga. and Forest View Baptist Church, Woodvine, Ga., a member of First Baptist 
Church Teal Sunday School Class and owner of St. Mary's Seafood Co., Inc., St. 
Mary's, Ga.  Surviving are his widow; brothers, Joe Ballenger of Westminster, 
Frank Ballenger of Charleston, Paul Ballenger of LaGrange, Ga., John Ballenger 
of Rock Mill, and Ottis Ballenger of Easley; and sisters, Mrs. Agnes Dickerson 
of New Port Richey, Fla., Mrs. Louise Monroe of Sun City, Ariz., and Mrs. Ruth 
Galbreath of Mountain Rest.    Services were at 2 p.m. Saturday at First 
Baptist Church conducted by the Rev. John B. Compton. Burial was in the church 
cemetery.  Sandifer Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
