Obituary of BOYD, JOSEPH J. 1936 Oconee County, SC

   Joe J. Boyd, 54, died at his home in Lake City, South Carolina, Tuesday 
night, November 17. 1936, after a few weeks illness. He was a native of Oconee 
county, the son of the late W. F. and Mrs. Mary Boyd. He was twice married. his 
first wife having been Miss Ethel Montgomery, who preceded him to the grave 
some few years ago.  Besides his wife, Mrs. Aletha Kirby Boyd, he leaves to 
mourn his passing one son, Cecil J. Boyd of Jacksonville, Fla., and five 
sisters. Mrs. C. E. Gambrell and Mrs. S. H. Snead, of Walhalla; Mrs. W. N. 
Garrison, Ware Shoals: Mrs. S. F. Pressley, Greenville, and Mrs. J. B. Holder, 
Lyman, S. C.
