Mrs. Bertha Boyd Dies At Seneca
   Mrs. Bertha Callas Boyd, 83, of Seneca died Monday at Oconee Memorial 
Hospital after four weeks of illness.  Native of Oconee county, daughter of the 
late Newton and Gustavia Crenshaw Callas, she lived in or near Seneca all her 
life. Her husband Robert H. Boyd, died in 1936. She was a member of Seneca 
Baptist Church. Surviving are a son, Earl H. (Bud) Boyd of Seneca; four 
daughters, Mrs. Helen Brock and Mrs. Beth Brock of Seneca, Mrs. Merle Honan of 
Hazlet, N.J., and Mrs. Sara Haselden of Beaufort; a brother, Paul Callas of Six 
Mile; a sister, Mrs. Sloan Entrekin of Seneca; 19 grandchildren and 22 
great-grandchildren. Funeral services were conducted Wednesday at Seneca 
Baptist Church by Rev. James P. Stokes and Rev. J. Allen Johnson. Burial was in 
Mountain View cemetery.
