Obituary of ADDIS, TERRY J.  1973 Oconee County, SC

   Funeral services were Monday afternoon for Terry Addis, 11-year-old son of 
Melvin and Evelyn Peay of Rt. 1, West Union, Ebenezer Community, who died 
Saturday in a Greenville Hospital following a two-week illness.  Services were 
held at Poplar Springs Baptist Church by the Revs. T. H. Hawkins and Harold 
Walters.  Burial was in the church cemetery.  Born in Oconee County, he was a 
sixth grader at Keowee Elementary School.  He was a member of the Keowee Boy 
Scout Troop 162 and Poplar Springs Baptist Church.  Surviving are his parents 
and a brother, Ricky Addis of the home. Pallbearers were Douglas and Jimmy 
Peay, Danny Freeman, Roy Smith, Dan Finkenstadt and Edwin Addis. Members of the 
Keowee Boy Scout Troup 162 and the Junior Boys Class of Poplar Springs Baptist 
Church were honorary escorts.    Davenport Funeral Home was in charge of 
arrangements.
