The Rev. Phillip Blankenship will officiate and burial with Eastern Star rites will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery. Mrs. Franklin, 43, died Tuesday, Jan. 7, 2003, of injuries sustained in an automobile accident near her home. Born in Chester on Nov. 28, 1959, she was a daughter of the late Clyde R. Timmons and Elva Phillips Timmons. A graduate of Great Falls High School, Mrs. Franklin was a payroll clerk for Staffmark of Rock Hill and was a member of Mount Zion Baptist Church. She was also a member of the Order of the Eastern Star Chapter No. 211. Survivors include her husband, William “JR” Franklin; a son, William C. Franklin of McAllen, Texas; a sister, Rena Timmons of Great Falls; and two brothers, Charlie Timmons of Great Falls and David Rimer of Batesburg. Memorials may be made to the Young Adult Sunday School Class, Mount Zion Baptist Church, 6924 Wateree Road, Great Falls, S.C. 29055. The family will receive friends tonight from 6-8 at Dantzler-Baker Funeral Home, 26 Underwood Ave., Great Falls.
