SAVANNAH -- Christopher Drayton, 52, of Savannah, died Friday, Jan. 3,
2003, at his residence. Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at First
Mt. Bethel Baptist Church, Savannah, with burial in Red House Cemetery,
Beaufort. Mr. Drayton was born January 16, 1950, in Beaufort.  He lived
most of his life in Savannah and was employed as a custodian at East 
Broad Street Elementary School. Survivors include five sisters, 
Henrietta Nix Morrall, Grace Nix, Loraine Tascoe-Bey, Lavonia 
Burke-Bryunat and Patricia Nix Jenkins of Beaufort; two brothers, 
Buster Nix and Michael Burke of Beaufort; and his grandmother, Grace 
Nix of Beaufort. Sydney A. Jones Funeral Home, Savannah, is in charge.
