Elizabeth Jenkins Published Sun, Oct 20, 2002 Elizabeth "Lizzie" Jenkins, 79, of Port Royal, died Monday, Oct. 14, 2002, in Beaufort Memorial Hospital. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. today at First African Baptist Church, Port Royal. Services will be at noon Monday at the church, with burial in Beaufort National Cemetery. Mrs. Jenkins was born Feb. 10, 1923, on Parris Island, a daughter of Rachel Snipe Jenkins and John Henry Jenkins. She was a member of the First African Baptist Church, where she served as a member of the Senior Member Auxiliary and the Women's Auxiliary. She was preceded in death by a son, Frank Green, and a brother, Brister Jenkins. Survivors include a daughter, Mildred Haynes of Lady's Island; four sons, William Jenkins and Luther Singleton of Brooklyn, Deacon Joe N. Jenkins of Burton and Dr. John H.
