Robert Lanier Gay Sr., 61, of Beaufort, husband of Beverly Ann Collier 
Gay, died Monday, Oct. 14, 2002, in Beaufort Memorial Hospital.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Anderson 
Funeral Home. Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral 
home with burial in Zahler Cemetery, Yemassee. Mr. Gay was born July
5, 1941, in Beaufort, a son of Claudia Mae Youmans Gay and John 
Wicklief Gay. He was co-owner and operator of B&R Trucking Co.
Survivors include his wife of Beaufort; three sons, Robert L. "Buck" 
Gay Jr. and Chad H. Gay of Beaufort, and Kenner D. Lynn of Bluffton; 
a sister, Jeannette Timmons of Abbeville; a brother, Ed Gay of 
Beaufort and 10 grandchildren. Memorials may be made to the American 
Heart Association, 215 East Bay St., Suite 204, Charleston, SC 29401.
