Mary Ewell Eve, 77, of Beaufort, wife of Paul F. Eve, died Tuesday, 
Oct. 8, 2002, in Bay View Nursing Center. The family will receive 
friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Anderson Funeral Home. Memorial 
services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at the funeral home. Burial will be 
private. Mrs. Eve was born May 26, 1925, in Bowie, Texas, a daughter 
of Ocie Lumas Ewell and Luther Ewell. She retired as the secretary and
organist for Grace Church in Wichita Falls, Texas. She served for many
years as choir director and organist for various churches. She was a 
member of Okatie Presbyterian Church. Survivors include her husband of 
Beaufort; two daughters, Paulette "Dee" Eve of Beaufort and Lenora 
"Lynn" Eve of New York; and a sister, Lovenia Haraburda of Azle, 
Texas.  Memorials may be made to the Mary E. Eve Memorial Fund, care 
of Okatie Presbyterian Church, 85 Muirfield Drive, Bluffton, SC 29909.
