Allen Sr., died Monday, Oct. 7, 2002, at her residence. Wake services will be from 7 to 8 p.m. today at Second Gethsemane Baptist Church, Stuart Point. Funeral services will be at noon Saturday at the church with burial in Grays Hill Cemetery. Mrs. Allen was born Oct. 17, 1921, in Colleton County, a daughter of Susie Aiken Green and Isaac Green. She was a member of Second Gethsemane Baptist Church, where she served as a missionary. Survivors include two daughters, Evelyn Griffin of Stuart Point and Queen E. Deloach of Grays Hill; six sons, Bishop Benjamin F. Allen Jr., Don Albert Allen, Eugene L. Allen, and Robert L. Allen of Grays Hill, Julius Allen of Columbia and Thomas Allen of Stuart Point; two sisters, Edie Belle Blake of Charleston and Leola Green of Jonesville; a brother, Willie James Green of Charleston; 35 grandchildren and 37 great-grandchildren.
