FORT WORTH, TEXAS - J. B. Williams, 84, a retired C.E.O. of an oil and gas company, died Monday, Oct. 15, 2001, at a Fort Worth hospital. Funeral services will be 3 p.m. Thursday at Ridglea Baptist Church. Burial at Greenwood Memorial Park. Visitation from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Greenwood Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to Arthritis Foundation for Sclera-derma research, 3001 W. 5th St., Fort Worth, Texas 76116, Ridglea Baptist Church Bldg. Fund, 6037 Calmont Ave., Fort Worth 76116, 817-732-4421, Sagamore Hill Baptist Church, 4400 Panola Ave., Fort Worth, Texas 76103. J. B. Williams was born March 15, 1917, in Arlington, Texas. He was an active member of Ridglea Baptist Church where he taught Sunday School for a number of years. He was also a member of the Shriners at the Moslah Temple, a Jester at ROJ Court No. 32, and a Mason of Lodge No. 925. He was known for his friendliness and his generosity and will be mourned by many family, friends, colleagues, and his devoted staff at Southeastern Resources and Search Drilling. J.B. was preceded in death by his wife, Bonita McGee Williams; daughter, Sandra Lee; sister, Maude Mullins; and parents, Julius Berry and Irene Hamil Williams. Survivors include daughters, Sharon Williams Elton, Jeannie Ortiz and husband, Tim, Robin Turton and husband, Bo, and Sherman Meloni and husband, Chris; son, Mark Proctor and wife, Ann; grandchildren, Lamar Elton III, Tani Elton Hilbert and husband, John, Eve Elton, Stacy Brooks and husband, James, Susan Lee Ainsworth, William Lee, Brandon Ortiz, Sophia Meloni and Chessley Turton; great-grandchildren, Shannon Lee, Bodhi Brooks, Zoe Brooks and Kayla Foster; one brother, Danny Williams and wife, Maureen of Oklahoma City, Okla.
