WHITMAN, Sadie
RIDGELAND, S.C. - Sadie E. Sauls Whitman, 66, of Ridgeland, S.C., wife 
of George R. Whitman, Sr., died Thursday, October 18, 2001, in a 
Beaufort hospital after a long illness. Mrs. Whitman was born March 
13, 1935, in Tillman, S.C., daughter of the late Clayton Sauls and the 
late Flora Long Sauls. She was a homemaker and a member of 
Coosawhatchie Baptist Church. Survivors include, husband, George R. 
Whitman, Sr.; sons, Ridgeland, G. Robert Whitman, Jr., Ridgeland, 
Jason Griffin, Savannah, Ga.; daughters, Phyllis W. Stanley, Burton, 
S.C.; sisters, Lois Godley, Ridgeland, S.C.; two grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at SAULS FUNERAL HOME CHAPEL, October 
20, 2001, Saturday, 11 a.m. Burial in Floyd Cemetery, Tillman, S.C. 
Visitation will be at Sauls Funeral Home, Ridgeland, S.C., Friday, 
October 19, 2001, from 6 to 8 p.m. (Published Oct 19, 2001)
