WEST, Elene
Elene Parker West, 68, of North Charleston, died Thursday at her home. 
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday in Carolina 
Memorial Gardens. Born in Cherryville, North Carolina, she was the 
daughter of Walter L. Parker and Nettie Craig Parker. Mrs. West was a 
Charleston County school guard. She was a member of Pittman Street 
Baptist Church. Survivors include her husband, William M. West, Jr.; a 
daughter, Alita W. Adams of Fairfax, Virginia; a son, William M. 
"Chuck" West, III of Goose Creek; a sister, Katie P. Newton of 
Burlington, NC; grandchildren, Jason Burton, Nick Adams, Kasey West 
and Chase West. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 
8:00 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be 
made to the Building Fund of Pittman Street Baptist Church.
