GEORGE, S.C. - Cliff Weathers, 93, of 116 Minus St. died at his home Sunday morning after a brief illness. Funeral services will held 11 a.m. Tuesday at the St. George United Methodist Church with Rev. Wash Belangia officiating. Burial will follow at the Duncan Chapel Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at Bryant Funeral Home. Mr. Weathers was born May 23, 1908 in the Duncan Chapel community a son of the late Julius Albert Weathers and Minnie Elizabeth Shuler Weathers. Mr. Weathers was a manager of the Firestone store, a retired salesman at Sojourner Chevrolet Company and a Farmer. Mr. Weathers was a member of the St. George United Methodist Church where he was a Stewart Emeritus and an active member of Men's Bible class. He was a former Dorchester County Council member, St. George Town council, Mayor Pro-Tem, and a Woodman of the World. Mr. Weathers was pre-deceased by his wife Inez Bardin Weathers. Surviving are, one son, William Albert "Bert" Weathers, Athens, TN; one daughter, Mrs. Joe (Jennifer) Williams, Walterboro, S.C.; four grandchildren, Joseph Bertman "Bud" Williams, Mt. Pleasant, S.C., Landis Inez Williams, Walterboro, S.C., Louie Clifton "Luke" Weathers, Athens TN., Carey Lonita Weathers, Gastonia, N.C.; three step-grandchildren, Jeremey Good, Natalie Good, both of Mt. Pleasant, S.C. and Chesley Good, Columbia, S.C.
