"Kitty, T.J." Thompson, Jr. Residence 7679 Hwy 17 North, Awendaw, SC. 
Mr. Thomas was 77 years old and a retired printer for the Post and 
Courier and Allied Printing Company. He was the devoted husband of 
Mrs. Lucille Deas Thompson. He was the son of Mr. Samuel Thompson, 
Sr. and the late Mrs. Cecilia Manigault Thompson. The step-son of Mrs. 
Mary Alice Thompson. He was the devoted father of Ms. Lillian Brown, 
Mrs. Cecilia Ann T. Grubb (Lee), Mr. Kirby Thompson, Ms. Pamela Barnes,
Mr. Darrell Thompson, Mr. Bobby Steed, Ms. Barbara Green and Ms. 
Vermateen Mitchell. The loving brother of Mr. Tennyson Thompson (Pat), 
Mr. Gerald Thompson (Laurel), Mr. Clayton Thompson and Mrs. Carolyn T. 
Andrews (Willie). The nephew of Mr. Isaac Thompson. The uncle of 
special niece Mrs. Shirley Ann Lawrence (Cumpase). WM. SMITH FUNERAL

are invited to attend his funeral services on Thursday, November 1, 
2001, 2:00 p.m. at Union AME Church, 7213 Hwy. 17 North, Awendaw, SC. 
Interment Union AME Cemetery. Mr. Thompson is survived by his wife, 
Mrs. Lucille Deas Thompson; his father, Mr. Samuel Thompson, Sr; his 
step-mother Mrs. Mary Alice Thompson; five daughters, Ms. Lillian 
Brown, Mrs. Cecilia Ann T. Grubb (Lee), Ms. Pamela Barnes, Ms. Barbara 
Green and Ms. Vermateen Mitchell; three sons, Mr. Kirby Thompson, Mr. 
Darrell Thompson and Mr. Bobby Steed; three brothers, Mr. Tennyson 
Thompson (Pat), Mr. Gerald Thompson (Laurel), Mr. Clayton Thompson; 
one sister Mrs. Carolyn T. Andrews (Willie); 16 grandchildren and 16 
great-grandchildren; one uncle Mr. Isaac Thompson and a special niece 
Mrs. Shirley Ann Lawrence (Cumpase). Viewing for Mr. Thompson will be 
at the W. M. SMITH-MCNEAL AWENDAW CHAPEL, 4129 Hwy. 17 North Awendaw, 
SC, on Wednesday, October 31, 2001 from 2:30 p.m. until 8:30 p.m.
