Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m., Friday, at Smoaks Baptist Church with Rev. Glen Buie officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery, directed by the BRICE W. HERNDON AND SONS FUNERAL HOME. Ms. Smoak was born in Colleton County, a daughter of the late George Warren and Clara Varnadoe Warren. She was a member of Smoaks Baptist Church, where she served as organist for 65 years and was a member of the T.E.L. Sunday School Class. She was the widow of A.B. Smoak. Surviving are a daughter, Dorothy S. Byrd of Smoaks, a brother, John Warren of Clermont, Fla., a grandson, Joe Byrd of Charleston, a granddaughter, Cathy Miles of West Columbia, and two great-grandchildren, Katie Byrd and Karen Jean Byrd. She was predeceased by a son, Donald S. Smoak and by a grandson, Johnny Byrd. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m., Thursday, at the Brice W. Herndon and Sons Funeral Home.
