The relatives and friends of Charles "Zip" Smith are invited to attend his funeral services Thursday, October 25, 2001 in J. HENRY STUHR, INC., MOUNT PLEASANT CHAPEL at 1:00 o'clock. Interment will follow in Wren's Chapel, Hwy. 45, McClellanville, SC. Friends may call at STUHR'S MOUNT PLEASANT CHAPEL Wednesday evening, October 24, 2001 from 6:00 until 8:00 o'clock. Mr. Smith was born in Boston, Mass. He was a member of the Bath Masonic Lodge #263 A.F.M. and the Omar Shriners. He was a Superintendent with Daniels Construction Company and a US Navy Veteran of World War II. Surviving are two daughters, Shirley A. Jordan of North Charleston, SC and Marie Smith Whittaker of Atascadero, California, five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Sylvia Dennehy.
