The relatives and friends of Louise Gardner Scarborough are invited to attend her funeral services, Friday morning, October 5, 2001, in St. Thomas Episcopal Church at 10 o'clock. Interment will follow in the Church of Ascension Churchyard, Hagood, SC. Friends may call at St. Thomas Episcopal Church, Thursday evening, October 4, 2001, from 6 until 8 o'clock. ARRANGEMENTS BY J. HENRY STUHR, INC., NORTH AREA CHAPEL. Mrs. Scarborough was born in Clarendon County, S.C., a daughter of William O'Donnell Gardner and Letitia Graham Gardner. She was a retired registered nurse, a directress of the Altar Guild for 25 years at St. Thomas Episcopal Church, and the first female Vestry Person at Good Shepherd. She was Valedictorian of both her high school class and her nursing school graduating class. Surviving are her daughter, Caroline Prause, her son, A. Wilson Scarborough, both of Charleston, S.C., her sister, Laura G. Jackson of Manning, S.C., three grandsons, one granddaughter and two great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. She was the widow of Arthur W. Scarborough.
