Russ, Sr., died Friday, October 5, 2001. Born in Camden, she was the daughter of the late George Q. and Victoria Gardner Blackwell. She was retired from Russ's Grocery and Drive-In and also Wateree Textiles. Mrs. Russ was a member of Rowan Associate Reformed Presbyterian Church. Surviving are, three daughters, Kay Jackson of Lugoff, Faye Kirkbridge of Columbia, Vickie Turner of North Charleston; one son, Dennis Russ of Lugoff; 15 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by two sisters, Ila Williams and Myrtle Langley and one brother, Roy Blackwell.Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Monday, October 8, 2001, in Rowan Associate Reformed Presbyterian Church. Burial will follow in Quaker Cemetery. Rev. Charles Stoker and Brian Peake will officiate.The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m., Sunday, October 7, 2001, in KORNEGAY FUNERAL HOME, LUGOFF-ELGIN CHAPEL.
