RUSS, Ruth
LUGOFF, S.C. - Ruth Blackwell Russ, 77, widow of the late William D. 
Russ, Sr., died Friday, October 5, 2001. Born in Camden, she was the 
daughter of the late George Q. and Victoria Gardner Blackwell. She was 
retired from Russ's Grocery and Drive-In and also Wateree Textiles.
Mrs. Russ was a member of Rowan Associate Reformed Presbyterian Church.
Surviving are, three daughters, Kay Jackson of Lugoff, Faye Kirkbridge 
of Columbia, Vickie Turner of North Charleston; one son, Dennis Russ 
of Lugoff; 15 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren. She was 
predeceased by two sisters, Ila Williams and Myrtle Langley and one 
brother, Roy Blackwell.Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Monday,
October 8, 2001, in Rowan Associate Reformed Presbyterian Church. 
Burial will follow in Quaker Cemetery. Rev. Charles Stoker and Brian 
Peake will officiate.The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m., 
Sunday, October 7, 2001, in KORNEGAY FUNERAL HOME, LUGOFF-ELGIN CHAPEL.
