Mrs. Rourke was born in Dorchester County, SC, January 30, 1921, a daughter of George Washington Rumph and Mary Catherine Canady Rumph. She was a Methodist. Mrs. Rourke is survived by two daughters, Beryl J. Middleton of Charleston, SC, Janeil R. Sparks of Eutawville, SC, three grandsons, David Connor Jones, Matthew Stephens Jones and Michael Rourke Jones, a great grandson, Linden William Jones, a brother, Dr. G. Kirkland Rumph of Charleston, SC, two sisters, Lurine R. Mealing of North Augusta, SC and Jeanette R. Schumann of St. Stephens, S.C.
