Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, October 7 at Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church, with Rev. Thomas Taylor officiating. Entombment will follow at Red Hill Memorial Gardens Cemetery, directed by Cox-Collins Funeral Home. Mrs. Ross was born February 3, 1940 in Horry County, a daughter of Mazie Gerald Hardwick and the late Walter Hardwick. Mrs. Ross was an administrative assistant with Anvil Knitwear. She was a graduate of Floyds High School and Columbia Business College. Mrs. Ross was a member of Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church. Surviving Mrs. Ross are her husband, William "Bill" Ross of the home; her mother, Mazie Gerald Hardwick of Nichols; 2 sisters, Doris Miller of Lancaster and Barbara Elliott of Camden; a brother, Harold Hardwick of Charleston; 6 nieces and nephews; and 12 great nieces and great nephews. Memorials may be made to Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church, 535 South Nichols Highway, Nichols, SC 29581 or to the American Cancer Society, 950 48th Avenue North, Myrtle Beach, SC 29577. Visitation will be held Saturday evening from 7 to 9 p.m. at COX-COLLINS FUNERAL HOME.
