Pleasant, died unexpected Saturday, September 29, 2001. The memorial service will be held at 6:00 o'clock Friday, October 5, 2001 in J. HENRY STUHR, INC., GREENRIDGE ROAD CHAPEL. Friends may call at the funeral home one hour prior to the service. A native of Asheville, NC, he was born September 18, 1934, the son of Carroll R. and Emily Russell Ross. He was a Navy veteran of the Korean Conflict and was an engineer with Honeywell Corporation. He is survived by his son and daughte-in-law, Russell and Mary Ross of Asheville, NC; his son, Steve Ross of Summerville, and his daughter Deborah Mayo of Illinos. His former wife, Caroline Whitaker Ross and six grandchildren and two sisters, Barbara Baker of Atlanta and Margaret Sattler of Winston-Salem, NC also survive. Memorials are requested to Shriner's Hospital for Cripple Children, Greenville Unit, 950 W. Faris Rd., Greenville, SC 29605.
