The funeral will be at 2:00 p.m. Sunday in the CHAPEL OF DIAL-MURRAY FUNERAL HOME, MONCKS CORNER. Interment will be in Berkeley Memorial Gardens. Friends may call at the funeral home from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Saturday, October 20, 2001. Mr. Polk was born Sept. 18, 1934, in Islandton, SC, a son of Lotus Winfred Polk and Ornie Ready Polk. He was a member of the First Christian Church of Islandton. He was a mason. He was preceded in death by two brothers, F. Gordon Polk and Hensley L. Polk. He attended Clemson University. Surviving are his wife, Arnree Stanley Polk; two daughters, Loretta Lynn Polk Seprish of Summerville and Wanda Gordon Krupinski of Mt. Pleasant; two sons, Steven P. Polk of Gaston and Winfred Lotus Gordon of Brevard, NC; and two grandchildren, BobbiAnn L. Polk and Chase Bryan Phillips.
