OWENS, Nettie Miriam
ANDREWS - Nettie Miriam Baxley Owens, 73, widow of Samuel Lamar Owens, 
died Thursday, October 25, 2001, at a Georgetown hospital.Funeral 
service will be 2:00 p.m. Sunday, October 28, 2001, at the 
Williamsburg Pentecostal Holiness Church. Burial directed by the 
Andrews Chapel of McKenzie Funeral Home will follow in the Andrews 
Memorial Cemetery.Visitation will be 6 to 9 p.m., Saturday evening, 
October 27, 2001, at the Andrews Chapel of McKenzie Funeral Home. Mrs. 
Owens was born July 19, 1928, in Williamsburg County, a daughter of 
Leonard Baxley and Marie Barnhill Baxley. She was educated in 
Williamsburg County School District and a member of the Williamsburg 
Pentecostal Holiness Church.Surviving are: two sons, Charles Lamar 
Owens of Andrews and Leonard Owens, of Macedonia; three daughters, 
Nancy Jane O. Wise of Atlanta, Ga., Peggy Ann O. Wolff of Bonneau, and 
Betty Jo O. Benson of Charleston; one brother, Buster Baxley of 
Clinton, Arkansas; 10 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
