Funeral services will be held at Parks Funeral Home Chapel, Friday, October 5, 2001, at 1 o'clock. Entombment will be in Summerville Cemetery Mausoleum. Friends may call at Parks Funeral Home, Thursday evening, from 6 to 8 p.m. Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association, 2711 Middleburg Dr., Suite 205, Columbia, S.C. 29204. Mr. Oglesby was born September 28, 1927, in Garnett, S.C., a son of the late Lewis Ware Oglesbry and Annabelle Hoover Oglesby. He was an Army veteran of W.W.II and a member of the Mason Carolina Lodge #375. Survivors include his close companion and her children, Doris Haselden of West Ashley, S.C., seven nephews, Robert Crosby, Donald Crosby and Edward Crosby, all of Summerville, Lex Oglesby, Jr., of Beaufort, S.C., and E.L. Oglesby of Cummings, S.C.; four nieces, Patricia Shuman of Cummings, S.C., Faye Lipham of Summerville, Barbara Jean Joy of Clemson, S.C., and Mary Lamb of Bonneau, S.C.
