Ms. Nix was born in Allendale, January 10,1942, a daughter of the late Horace Googe Sr., and Ruby Katherine Kling Googe. She was formerly employed as a caregiver with Carrig Manor in Bamberg and was a member of Mt. Arnon Baptist Church. Survivors include 2 daughters, Cathy Varn and Penny Cochran, both of Orangeburg; 1 brother, Horace Eugene Googe, of Seigling; 3 sisters, Peggy Litchfield of Bonneau, Dorothy Holland of Seigling and Phyllis Googe of Seigling. There are 5 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by a son, Jimmy Bloodworth. Funeral services will be held Sunday afternoon at 3:00 in the Chapel of Smith-Rhoden Funeral Home, with burial following in the Mt. Arnon Cemetery. Visitation will be held Saturday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. SMITH-RHODEN FUNERAL HOME of Allendale is in charge of arrangements.
