TITLE: Elizabeth Sharon "Litz" Sebnick Nettles SOURCE: The Post and Courier SUBMITTED BY: The Post and Courier FORMATTED BY: Kim Grissom, Jun 2003 *********************************************************************** NETTLES, Elizabeth SCRANTON - Mrs. Elizabeth Sharon "Litz" Sebnick Nettles, 42, wife of Wyatt Clay Nettles, Jr., died Monday, October 22, 2001, in a Florence hospital after an illness. Mrs. Nettles was born in Chicago, Illinois, a daughter of William and Margaret Ladner Sebnick. She was a graduate of Lake City High School and received her Bachelor of Science degree from the University of South Carolina in physical education. She was a four-year all-state swimmer in high school and swam on the University of South Carolina varsity team for three years. She was a mother, friend, and member of the Lake City First Baptist Church. She was a member of the Lake City Junior Women's Club where she served as Vice President and Lake City Primary School Improvement Advisory Council. She was a soccer coach, t-ball coach, and a swimming teacher for over 25 years to more than 1500 swimming students from the area. Survivors include her husband, Wyatt Clay Nettles, Jr. of Scranton; one son, Wyatt Clay "Trey" Nettles, III of Scranton; one daughter, Margaret Elizabeth "Liza" Nettles of Scranton; her parents, Bill and Peg Sebnick of Lake City; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Wyatt and Ginny Nettles of Lake City; two brothers, Tom (Dee) Sebnick of Florence, Eric (Tanya) Sebnick of Scranton; two sisters, Kathie (Joe) Carter of Florence and Maggie (Byron) Beck of Marion; sister-in-law, Nan (Rob) Arnette of Florence; five nieces and three nephews. Funeral service will be at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, October 24, 2001, in the Lake City First Baptist Church with burial in the Lake City Memorial Park.
