The family will receive friends from 1 to 2 p.m., Tuesday, October 2, 2001, at WOLFE FUNERAL HOME in Fort Mill. A graveside service will follow at 2:30 p.m., at Unity Cemetery with the Rev. Joe Tysinger officiating. Born February 1, 1928, in Fort Mill, Mrs. Neal was the daughter of the late Thornwell F. and Flonnie Shaw Bell. Surviving are her husband, Rodney E. "Gene" Neal; her son, Keith Neal of Reston, Va.; two daughters, Linda Slay of Gray Court and Jane Neal of Mt. Pleasant; her brother, Jerry Bell of Ocean Springs, Miss.; three grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by two brothers, O'Neal Bell and Ed Bell, both of Fort Mill.
