Mrs. Moss was born February 19, 1920 in Anderson, SC the daughter of Francis Raymond Sweeny and Fannie Corinne Oliver. Mrs. Moss was a graduate of Converse College. She stayed active in her community as a member of the Mount Pleasant Presbyterian Church where she served as an Elder. She was an avid bridge player and gardener, a member of The Mayflower Society, Quis Qui Auxiliary and a Pelican Lady. The relatives and friends of Corinne Moss are invited to attend her funeral service Tuesday, October 23 at 11 AM in Mount Pleasant Presbyterian Church. Burial will be in Bethany Cemetery, Charleston. Friends may call between the hours of 6 and 8 pm Monday, October 22 at McCALISTER-SMITH FUNERAL HOME, MOUNT PLEASANT CHAPEL, 1520 Rifle Range Road. 884-3833. Mrs. Moss was pre-deceased by sons Alfred Earl Moss, Jr. and Benjamin Wofford Moss. Surviving relatives include two sons, Raymond Arthur Moss of Jackson, New Jersey, Thomas Allan Moss of Huntsville, Alabama, one daughter, Katherine Moss Carrier of Mount Pleasant, two brothers, Dr. Hale Caterson Sweeny of Durham, North Carolina, James Oliver Sweeny of Highlands, North Carolina and seven grandchildren.
