Born in Boston, Ma., he was the son of John D. McMasters and Mary Mooney McMasters. He was a graduate of Dorchester High School of Boston, MA. He was a member of the MA Coast Guard Auxiliary for many years and the United States Marine Corps. Reserve, and a member of Christ Our King Catholic Church in Mount Pleasant, S.C. He was retired from Charleston County Schools Maintenance Department. He enjoyed fishing, gardening, cooking and model airplanes. He was predeceased by his wife, Dorothy Ann Babb McMasters. Mr. McMasters is survived by his daughter, Jodi Ann McMasters of Charleston, SC formerly of Boston, Ma., one brother, Raymond McMasters, of Boston, MA, two sisters, Margaret Doyle of Fairfield, Conn. and Dorothy Power of Ladylake, Fla., many nieces and nephews and special friends, Marilyn Taylor and William C. Taylor of Isle of Palms, SC. Services for Mr. McMasters are pending and due notice of time will be announced later.
