Family will receive friends immediately after the service.Mr. McGinnis was born February 10, 1957 in Reidsville, NC, the son of Patrick Norman McGinnis and Ann Graham McGinnis. He was a master welder within the Nuclear Power Plant Industry. Shawn was an avid fisherman and shrimper.He is survived by his mother of Johns Island, SC; father and step-mother, Pat and Linda McGinnis of Mt. Pleasant, SC; one brother, Timothy G. McGinnis of Black Mountain, NC; three sisters, Sandy M. Ellett of Mt. Pleasant, SC, Cathy (Doll) Garvin of James Island, SC and Jayne M. Nicholas of Mt. Pleasant, SC; one step-sister, Kendra L.
