The Memorial Service will be 11:30 o'clock, Wednesday, October 31, 2001, at Old Saint Andrews Episcopal Church. Inurnment will be Thursday in Michigan. Arrangements were made at J. HENRY STUHR, INC., WEST ASHLEY CHAPEL. A native of Saginaw, Mich., he was born August 17, 1932, the son of George H. and Margaret Newman McCalpin. An Army veteran of the Korean Conflict, he was a graduate of the University of Michigan. Mr. McCalpin was a retired value analyst engineer with the Chrysler Corporation. He is survived by his wife, Karen Alpers McCalpin; his sons, Mark McCalpin of Prescott, Ariz.; Donald McCalpin of Saline, Mich.; Brett McCalpin of Lapeer, Mich.; his son and daughter-in-law, Jay and Kim McCalpin of Lapeer, Mich.; and his daughter and son-in-law, Valerie and Todd Walgast of Columbiaville, Mich. His step-daughters and sons-in-law, Angela and Dan Dyke of Shelby Township, Mich.; Molly and Shawn Emmendorfer of Mt. Clemens, Mich.; Terrilynn and Tom Primeau of Ferndale, Mich.; and step-son and daughter-in-law, Andrew James and Connie McGlynn of Riley Township, Mich., his sister, Eleanor Lange of St. Cloud, Fla., 15 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren also survive.
