Michael Joseph "Joey" LeaMond, 43, of Charleston died at a local 
hospital Sunday, October 21, 2001. The relatives and friends of Mr. 
Michael Joseph LeaMond are invited to attend his Funeral Mass at 10:30 
AM, Wednesday, October 24, 2001 at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church. 
The Rite of Committal will be in Holy Cross Cemetery on James Island. 
Friends may call at the JAMES A. MCALISTER FUNERAL HOME, 1620 SAVANNAH 
HWY. Tuesday, October 23, 2001 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM. A Vigil 
service will be held at 6:30 PM at the funeral home. Arrangements by

March 30, 1958 in Charleston the son of John E. "Jake" and Pauline 
Park LeaMond. He graduated from St. Andrews High School and was 
formerly employed by the DelMonte Banana Company. Joey was a lover of 
classical music. Surviving are his parents of Charleston; six sisters, 
Anne LeaMond and Janice L. James both of Charleston, Jennifer L. Smith 
and Donna L. Cross both of New Orleans, LA, Michelle LeaMond of Cherry 
Hill, NJ and Lisa L. Brantly of Mt. Pleasant; two brothers, Jack 
LeaMond and Tommy LeaMond both of Charleston; numerous nieces and 
nephews. Arrangements by JAMES A. MCALISTER, INC. 766-1365.
