The funeral will be 11 a.m. Friday, October 19, 2001 in the chapel of Avinger Funeral Home, Holly Hill. Burial will follow in St. Paul Lutheran Church Cemetery, Mt. Pleasant. Friends may call at the funeral home from 6 until 8 p.m. Thursday, October 18, 2001. Mrs. King was born in Atkinson, NC, a daughter of the late Edmund Barnhill and Mamie Woodcock Barnhill. She was a member of Midland Park Baptist Church and the widow of Langdon King. Survivors include daughters, Mrs. Ann K. Barbero of Eutawville, and Mrs. Nancy Longest of Tappahannok, Va.; a son, Langdon C. "Chuck" King of Moncks Corner; brother, Lawrence Barnhill of Burgaw, NC; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
