Mr. Jones was born August 17, 1923 in Florence County to the late W. Spence Jones and Ellen Ether Poston Jones Taylor. He was former owner/operator of Inlet Cabinets. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Murrells Inlet where he was a former deacon and served as a former treasurer. He was also a former fireman, board member and treasurer of the Murrells Inlet/Garden City Fire Department. He was a WWII U.S. Army veteran. He is preceded in death by four brothers and four sisters. Mr. Jones is survived by his wife, Dorothy Poston Jones; two sons, Randy Jones of Connecticut, Don Jones of Murrells Inlet; six daughters, Judy Pate of Elloree, Kathy Lawkins of Charleston, Wanda Milligan of Charleston, Elaine Siedel of Socastee, Arlene Sawyer of Murrells Inlet, Tammie Clardy of Virginia; one step-brother, David Taylor of Johnsonville; 16 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, October 2, 2001 at First Baptist Church of Murrells Inlet. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, October 1, 2001 at GOLDFINCH FUNERAL HOME, BEACH CHAPEL. Memorials may be made to the First Baptist Church of Murrells Inlet, P.O.
