Funeral Services will be held 3 pm, Monday in the St. George United Methodist Church with Dr. Wash Belangia officiating. Burial will follow in the St. George Cemetery. Mrs. Johnston was born January 21, 1923 in Greenville, SC a daughter of Robert Earl Dill and Pearl Crawley Few Dill. She was a graduate of Greenville High School and studied music at Furman University. After her retirement as a bookkeeper for Agricultural Stabilization and Conservation Service she was Organist and Choir Director and served as Chairman of Methodist Women and on Administrative Board at St. George United Methodist Church. She was a piano teacher, staff organist for Bryant Funeral Home and was pianist for Indian Field Campmeeting for 43 years. She was Past-Worthy Matron, Past District Deputy, State Organist and marshal for St. George Chapter #166 Order of Eastern Star. She was the widow of John B. "Red" Johnston, Jr. Surviving are 3 sons: Robert Earl "Bobby" Johnston and Joe David Johnston, both of St. George, Roger Timothy Johnston, Sr., Reevesvile, SC. A stepson, John B. Johnston, III, Charleston, SC, a sister, Lois Anne Dill, Sumter, SC, 11 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 pm, Sunday evening at BRYANT FUNERAL HOME.
