Henry Stuhr, Inc., Greenridge Road Chapel. Mr. Howell was born June 11, 1935, in Perdido, Ala., the son of Rudolph Howell and Mary Maholivich Howell. He was a Baptist. Chief Howell had served in the United States Navy during the Korean conflict and the Viet Nam War and served a total of 22 years military service and a member of the V.F.W. American Legion. Surviving are his sons, Colin P. Howell of Goose Creek, S.C., Jon B. Howell of Memphis, Tenn., Cade M. Howell of Goose Creek, S.C.; daughters, Arlene Stillson of Greensboro, N.C., Jetta R. Howell of Goose Creek, S.C.; brother, David Howell of Mobile, Ala.; sisters, Helen Fontaine of Repton, Ala., Lil Haynes of Wilmer, Texas, Eyelene Pock of Walnut Hill, Fla., and Faye LaFlore of Satsuma, Ala.; nine grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
