SMOAKS - Mabel Hodges, 84, died on October 21, 2001, in Rockville, Md. 
The funeral will be 3 p.m., Saturday, October 27, 2001, in Bethel 
United Church in Smoaks. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Mrs. 
Hodges, daughter of the late George and Queen Hodges, was born on May 
1, 1907, in Colleton County. She received her education in the public 
schools of Colleton County. She was a member of Bethel United 
Methodist Church. Surviving are, a son, George Walker; a daughter, 
Quillie Mae Hodges; two sisters, Octavia Hudson and Elouise Mason; 
two brothers, Roosevelt Hodges and Ben Hodges. Arrangements by
