Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday at Grace Advent Christian Church with Rev. Wayne Lucas officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery, directed by the Brice W. Herndon and Sons Funeral Home. Mrs. Herndon was born in Colleton county, a daughter of the late David Craven and Charlotte Bootle Craven. She was a member of Grace Advent Christian Church, where she was a member of the W.H. & F.M. She was the widow of Howard Herndon. Surviving are her step-mother, Elsie Craven of Walterboro, a son, Charles Craven of Walterboro, a daughter, Mrs. Ed (Mary) Smith of Walterboro, a brother, Oscar Craven of Walterboro, a step-brother, George R. Craven of Goose Creek, four half brothers, Jerry Craven, Donnie Craven, Buddy Craven, and Eldon Craven, all of Walterboro. A half-sister, Pat Duncan of Orlando, FL, nine grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. Wednesday at the BRICE W. HERNDON AND SONS FUNERAL HOME. Memorials may be made to Grace Advent Christian Church Building Fund, 398 Mt. Carmel Road, Walterboro, SC 29488.
