Entered into eternal rest on the morning of Thursday, October 18, 2001, 
Ms. Carla E. Gethers "Shirley." Residence, 5222 Village Road, Adam Run,
S.C. She is the beloved daughter of the late Mr. Richard Nesbitt and 
Mr. and Mrs. Lucius and Inez Hamilton. She is the loving mother of Ms. 
Althea V. Hamilton (Andrew), Mr. James Gethers (Felicia), and Miss 
Tanginica Gethers. She is the grandmother of Leondra, Luricus, James, 
Tresvon, and Semahj. She is the devoted companion of Mr. Vernon 
Drayton. Funeral arrangements will be announced by HARLESTON-BOAGS 
FUNERAL HOME, INC., 121 Calhoun St., (Downtown) Charleston, S.C. 29401.

those of her parents, Mr. Lucius and Mrs. Inez Hamilton and the late 
Mr. Richard Nesbitt, her children, Althea V. Hamilton (Andrew), and Mr.
James Gethers (Felicia), grandchildren, Leondra, Luricus, James, 
Tresvon, Semahi, her siblings, Minister Geneva Stafford (David), Mrs. 
Mary Smalls (Jerry), Mrs. Deborah Loyd Harley, Mrs. Beverly Graham 
(Antonio), Mr. Richmond Truesdale (Martha), Mr. Tyrone Nesbitt and Mr. 
Richard Nesbitt (Ce-Ce), aunts, Delores Smalls, Susan Bailey, Lottie 
Horlbeck, uncles, John Nesbitt (Doris), and Horace Jenkins, Devoted 
companion Vernon Drayton, nieces, nephews, cousins are invited to 
attend her funeral services on Monday, October 22, 2001 at 12 noon in 
St. Luke A.M.E. Church, Hwy 162, Hollywood, SC. The Rev. John Mack, 
Pastor with Inhumation following in The Church Cemetery. Friends may 
call in the Chapel at HARLESTON-BOAGS, INC. on Sunday afternoon, 
October 21, 2001 from 3 until 5 pm. Mrs. Gethers will repose in St. 
Luke Church on Sunday evening from 6 until 8 pm. A quiet hour with 
family members will be observed from 7 until 8 pm. Arrangements are
